Türnitz is a town in the district of Lilienfeld in the Austrian state of Lower Austria.Turnitz is located on the valley of the river Traisen, at 466 m altitude and surrounded by peaks of over 1000 m. Nearby mountains:Türnitzer Höger, Eibl and Tirolerkogel in the south-west of the valley, Eisenstein and Hohenstein. The Traisen (80 km long) is a tributary of the Danube in the Lower Austrian region.The Türnitzer Höger is a 1372 m high mountain in the Türnitzer Alps.The Tirolerkogel is a 1380 m high mountain.
