Enjoy watching this great panoramic view of Ouro Preto, a beautiful town of Brazil.
Ouro Preto ( Black Gold in English) is a former colonial mining town in the state of Minas Gerais of Brazil. It is located in the Serra do Espinhaco mountains and is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO because of its gorgeous Baroque architecture.
The city contains well-preserved Portuguese colonial architecture, with few signs of modern urban life. Modern construction must adhere to historical standards maintained by the city. 18th- and 19th-century churches decorated with gold and the sculptured works of Aleijadinho, one of the greatest sculptors and architects of Brazil, make Ouro Preto a prime tourist destination. Main economic activities of the city are tourism, transformation industries, and mineral riches such as deposits of iron, bauxite, manganese, talc and marble.
Ouro Preto is a major tourist destination, for its well-preserved colonial appearance with old buildings and cobblestone streets.
